It is with great displeasure that we have shut down Globe Shocker on December 31st, 2008.

Globe Shocker has become one of the fastest Music Video streaming websites on the internet, providing users with high-quality music videos at fast speeds. Unfortunately, many things have occured in the Record Industry as of late that has us concerned, and as a protective measure, made us reconsider our immediate position in the video promotions industry.

Currently, the Record Industry is in battle over promotional rights with Music Videos, much as they were with music, FM Radio, AM Radio, and every other technology that "threatened their existence". While many record labels have given us the go ahead, some have not and we have represented them. Contiga Broadcasting has had a strong record of promoting artists and keeping true to our mission, however as a way to reduce our risk at this time, we have shut down Globe Shocker.

We will continue to broadcast our great online radio stations that you may have heard and loved. We look forward to returning sometime in the next year or so to once again be the leader in high quality, free to view, streaming music videos. Thanks for all the support, and we look forward to coming back soon.
